Dr. Naffas is actively involved in giving back to the community. He donates his time and services to several non-profit organizations. He also volunteers his time and knowledge to institutions and universities.
MEND Organization
MEND – Meet Each Need with Dignity is a volunteer-based organization since its inception in 1971. Today MEND utilizes more than 3,200 volunteers to implement its vast array of programs that provide food and clothing; medical, dental and vision care; job training and classes.
Dr. Naffas is one of the dentists who provides his time and services weekly to the MEND San Fernando organization and performs dental work on young children, families, and the elderly.

RAM (Remote Area Medical)
The Remote Area Medical® (RAM) Volunteer Corps , founded in 1985, is a non-profit, volunteer, airborne relief corps dedicated to serving mankind by providing free health care, dental care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational assistance.
Dr. Naffas has volunteered as part of RAM’s dental services that provided relief to thousands of patients over the years. Dental care is one of the core services of RAM expeditions. The RAM dental program has grown from offering only emergency extractions in the early days to include restorations, cleanings and fluoride treatments today.

University of Southern California (USC)
Dr. Naffas volunteers his time weekly as part-time faculty in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic in the USC School of Dentistry.
USC’s dental clinic is home to the school’s doctoral dental, dental hygiene and advanced specialty training clinics. Care is rendered by students and residents under the supervision of expert faculty.
